The focuses on the evolution of European IDentity and its role in the EU integration. The second chapter treats the failure of the EU Constitutional Treaty by analyzing the potential of European Identity, the influence its consolidation degree had on people's vote as well as draws conclusions over the future of the EU constitution. The third chapter confronts European Identity with national identities of EU member states. It presents in the form of the table statistical data about European Identity and national identities of EU member states. The last chapter argues about the existence of European civic demos.
What inspired me to write this book was the love I had for the topic. I am European and am proud of this.
