Nejoud Al-Yagout

Author Nejoud Al-Yagoutabout this book: "The greatest love story ever told was between a leaf and the sun…"

Ounces of Oneness—a collection of poems by author Nejoud Al-Yagout—is the journey of a soul navigating unknown spiritual terrain. The poems are weaved together in a secret pattern. Each poem is connected to the one that precedes it, or in the case of the first poem, to the one following it.

The poet embarks on a journey of transcendental self-inquiry to shed the veils of divisiveness and fall in love with the essence that unites all.

It took me a few months to write it. I liked the simplicity of the cover and the colors (black, white, with a splash of yellow). The book was not difficult to write as I got out of the way and let the words flow.

I want to tell my readers that poetry is a universal language and if the words resonate, it is because they are part of our collective consciousness. The primary readers are those interested in spirituality, awakening and those who sees others beyond labels. The title came to me. I don't remember exactly how.
