Book: When Anxiety Met PTSD - A Crumb Of Mariam by Mariam Raufcategories: Book, Healing, Memoir, Forgiveness, Mental Health, Relationships, Trauma, Women Writers, Autobiography, Drama, Romance, Poetry
Mariam Raufabout this book: This book captures my thought process throughout the journey of meeting someone I call Anxiety. As a PTSD survivor, I always found it fascinating how my best friend was someone with an equally tormenting mental disorder.
Aimed at anybody interested in healing, mental health or autobiographies, this book is one story narrated through twenty one poems, six songs and a bucket of honesty.
The title, interestingly, is something I came up with during one of my conversations with Anxiety himself. The cover has a photograph from my life, and it was a beautifully rigorous task of taking my thoughts out of my personal journal and into the world of readers.
I sincerely hope you walk with me on this short 81 page journey of healing and discovery. Some stories tell themselves and do not remain contained within us - this one has been put out for you to peruse. The hope is that one learns to have faith in light even when it gets as dark as it can get in the human mind.
