Book: Crooked by Chris Fostercategories: Book, Buddhism, Life, Spirituality, Meditation, Nonfiction, Philosophy
Chris Fosterabout this book: My book is about life. About 3.5 years ago, I started meditating and studying the Buddhist philosophy. It had a profound impact on my thinking, and I wanted to share my change in perspective. So I wrote it all down in this book titled Crooked. It took me 2.5 years to say everything in the way I wanted to. I tried to word every single sentence in a unique way, sometimes spending over an hour on one sentence. So while the books is short, it is very dense. I didn't use any research; it's philosophy, almost like the works of the classical philosophers (not nearly as difficult though).
Just about anyone 15 and over may find an interest in this book. If you meditate/breathe a little each day while truly trying to understand what's in the pages, I think it will affect you quite deeply. As the author, I hope it makes you think a little bit and see how the chapters apply to your own life.
