Book: That's None Of Your Business - And Other Things God Told Me by Donna Daviscategories: Book, Christian, Self-Help, Inspiration, Non-Fiction, Prayer, Faith, Scripture, Truth, Personal Growth
Donna Davisabout this book: I wrote the book because I thought it was an amazing story. That's how it started out - just the story. But then, each of the messages that I got that day started to grow in meaning for me as I thought about them. I'd have little epiphanies that I'd try to put into practice.
At the same time, over the years after the story happened, I found that at some point, I was healed of the deepest forms of depression that I'd suffered from. I knew that I was on the right track and doing the right work for myself and my life. I also knew how challenging it can be to stand up to emotional burdens like depression, character flaws, mood swings, bad-temper, and impatience. The worst part was that I seemed to have no choice in the matter. I knew though, that wasn't good enough - it was my job to work harder to conquer these personality and character flaws.
I was sure that if I tried to free myself of these traits just with human will power, I would get nowhere. I'd tried for too many years so I knew that without the Christ, and God's goodness, it would never happen. The lessons I've learned from the angel messages I received have helped to give me peace and put me on a stronger footing of character and integrity. So I was hopeful that maybe what I was pondering that had helped me might help others.
I continue to face a daily battle to live in peace and feel useful, like my life has meaning and purpose. Sometimes I see the results of that wresting in ways that are awe inspiring. This story is one of those moments.
