Marty Loveabout this book: This is a book that was 20 years in the making. It's the story of a penguin, written before penguins were popular. Originally published in 2004, it has now been slightly revised and made the first volume of a trilogy. It could be considered a children's book, written for approximately 8-12 year-olds, but its appeal goes beyond that, to adults who might end up reading it to their kids or on the sly by themselves. Follow the adventure of young Hopper as he struggles against injustice and evil in his attempts to find his home, all the while growing in his own wisdom, love for others, and faith, until the exciting ending of the story.
Volume 2, The Smell of Evil, will be published soon, and the final book of the series, tentatively subtitled The Last Wave, will probably be finished by the end of 2012. These books tell more of the story of Hopper's family with some new great adventures in the struggle against the evil that threatens them.
