A.L. Kesslerabout this book: Dance in the Moonlight is book two of the Dark War Chronicles series. An grieving immortal werewolf must move forward after losing his human mate nearly three hundred years ago when a new human walks into his life. When he realizes Renee is in the center of the vampire war his instincts to protect her kick in. In this next installment readers will find another strong female character who is fighting against her fate, but also humor and suspense as the war moves on.
This book has a little more humor in it because of the characters. Renee comes from the human world so she's not familiar with the paranormal and her way of dealing with things is sarcasm and movie quotes. Coran on the other hand is old, but he still gets the modern references. When I first started planning this book a lot of it came from a conversation I had with my editor, it revolved around one scene we both imagined and got a laugh out of and grew from there.
