Johnny Walkerabout this book: EKKO Blue Violin is book Three in the Trilogy.
In this book, CJ has come a long way, and that's an understatement. Although skeptical at first, he's finally accepted his challenge. Maybe because he's seen one too many spirits bite the bullet - a fate he has the power to change. Not only should he, but he must protect the spirits at all costs. There's a reason for that.
It seems CJ has had some help, though, as some spirits are hell-bent on his success. After all, it's their fate he's battling for. The clues are coming on one by one, and he has to decipher each in order to take the next step. With the clock ticking, he'll have to solve the riddles before the aliens attack. He has to get it right, as there won't be another opportunity to stop the invasion for another six hundred years, and by then it will be too late.
The road crew is getting slammed with one calamity after another. As team members travel to Detroit from all corners of the country, a meeting is planned to reel CJ in. Or so they think. It's a wake up call for CJ, reminding him he's got to stay on top of both his job, and his paranormal duties.
While he does have a grip on his mission, he's also acquired a female technician who is his equal when it comes to bravery. As he sketches out the plan of attack, he finds himself attracted to his this new woman. She's the toughest human he's been around in a long time. As her involvement slowly increases, she brings a ray of hope to the table. She may be the glue he needed to hold everything together.
Turns out someone else has been tracking his footsteps, this time a human, and for purely selfish reasons. Just before the final showdown, CJ is given a tidbit of information that blows his mind, something he never saw coming.
When the final conflict arrives, things move faster than anyone anticipated, leaving a series of endings that promises to deliver.
