Book: Grandpa Wore A Six-Gun by James L. Rickardcategories: Book, Brothel, Sheriff, Deputy, Rustler, Cattle, Prostitute, Hide-Out, Jail, Prison, Horses, Colt, Old West
James L. Rickardabout this book: After leaving his abusive father after another of their never-ending altercations, Charlie Hobbs leaves the farm to make his way in the American West. Brothels, stage hold-ups, life on the right side of the law--it's all here. Relax and get ready to smile.
Grandpa Wore a Six-Gun is my first effort into the world of books after years of customer service, photography, short stories and ghostwriting. No, it's not really autobiographical, although my grandfather was born in 1870. Think about that. He saw both world wars, the first flight, and the birth of automobiles as well as the use of electricity. Better yet, he lived to take advantage of cars and electricity. Cars, planes, electricity, or war may not be in this story, but that's why they make sequels.
Grandpa Wore a Six-Gun is every boy's fantasy offering adventure, heartache, and lessons aplenty. AND; the most important thing--it's a FUN read.
