about this book: When I go back home to England, I like to spend time in my favorite pub. The Three Tuns was built three hundred years ago in a tiny village in Devon close to where I grew up and is now owned by two childhood friends of mine. I'd been there recently but a few days after I'd returned to California, Nick and Linda were sure I'd come back into their pub one night. It wasn't until they spoke to 'me' that they realized it wasn't me at all. As it turned out, this was Finn from Galway Bay in Ireland and this was his first visit to Devon. But apparently he looked exactly like me, even to two people who knew me as well as my old friends did. The story got me thinking. Hopefully this doppelganger of mine was a decent person, but what if he was a villain of some sort? What if he was on the run from the police or whoever and guilty of some terrible crime for which I could be blamed? Paranoia on my part? Maybe, but fortunately it gave rise to the story that I wrote and called 'Hunting Cat Face'.
