Book: Engaged To Be Murdered (The James Ellis Mystery Series Book 1) by Christopher Huntercategories: Book, Carrington, Louisiana, Miguel Rodriguez, Cozy Mystery, Christian Mystery, Mystery
Christopher Hunterabout this book: It took me two and a half months to write a novel after wrestling with the decision to write a mystery novel. I became interested in mysteries because I love how the main detective or amateur detective solve the crime. I wanted to be able to share my faith as a Christian because it buoyed me when I doubted my writing abilities. The hardest part of writing is crafting the characters and finding out their unique voices. I want readers to come off with knowing who these characters are and how they are transformed by a series of unfortunate events that plague them when they return to their hometown. The idea for writing a cozy mystery was brought on because I love how everyday citizens go about solving cases that baffle the police. It took quite a while for me to figure out how to go about and publish a novel since I didn't no anyone in the publishing industry. I heard about self-publishing and was concerned with how to protect my intellectual property. After doing some research I found out what I needed to do and how my book is now available for people to buy and enjoy it.
