Book: Sour Grapes (A Shakespeare in the Vineyard Mystery) by Carole Pricecategories: Book, Suspense, Theaters, Romance, Wine Country, Shakespeare, Vineyards, Mystery
Carole Priceabout this book: Sour Grapes is the second book in my Shakespeare in the Vineyard mystery series. It's been three months since Cait Pepper, an ex-cop from Ohio, inherited two Shakespearean theaters and a vineyard in Livermore, a real town in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cait continues to encounter problems and uses her law enforcement skills to help solve the crimes, along with the help of Royal Tanner, a Navy SEAL.
I got my idea to bring Shakespeare to Livermore after attending many plays in Ashland, Oregon, where my daughter used to live. I research every Shakespeare play I use in each of my books and create characters I believe will best portray their particular roles. When I took a couple of Shakespeare classes in college, I had no idea I would one day write a series using his plays. Shakespeare's plays involve romance, murder, and mayhem. He was not of an age, but for all time.
