about this book: Back in the late 1930s my father made a living as a gold prospector along the Salmo River in the mountains of southern British Columbia, Canada. When WWII broke out he joined the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry. When he returned he met and married my mother. In 1980, he and mom took my husband, my children, and me to the Salmo River to show us where his claim had been.
This setting gave me the idea for Gold Fever, a mystery/romance that takes place along the present day Salmo River. Boni Baldwin and her mother, Elsie Wiggins, are looking for clues to the disappearance of Elsie's father in 1960. Elsie's mother is in her eighties and wants one last effort made to find out why her husband never returned to her. This mystery novel is sprinkled with a bit of romance and a lot of danger as the two women meet the local prospectors who are now looking for gold along the river. Published by Books We Love Ltd.
