James H. Barrett Jr.about this book: Hear What I Can't Say, is a mystery about a fictional nursing home in Pittsburgh. A dear friend of mine, who spent the last years of his life in a nursing home, was the inspiration for the story. He always stayed positive and I admire the way he handled his illness. Another close friend sketched the awesome cover artwork.
I don't want to give away the reason for the title, but you will soon realize why as you read the story. I picked the story line because everyone has had some type of interaction with nursing homes and I hope that all you can relate.
This thriller has been compared to Alfred Hitchcock's Rear window. The main character, Logan Kane is known by his family for having a an overactive imagination. You will have to make up your mind if his suspicions are warranted. The mystery will keep you guessing until the very end of the story. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it!
