Marilyn Meredithabout this book: While having breakfast with friends, they told a fascinating story about being stranded during a huge snow storm in a camp where they were employed to do maintenance during the winter, and cook and do other chores during the summer when camp was going on. Wasn't long before their tale gave me the idea for a new Deputy Tempe Crabtree mystery. A COLD DEATH is the result.
In the book, the caretakers call Deputy Crabtree for help when they have problems with unexpected visitors to the camp--the owners and their friends. The fact that a blizzard is coming, complicates everything. Tempe, and her husband, Hutch, are stranded along with the others who turn out to be not so likeable. To make things even more interesting, there is a ghost.
One funny think that happened while I was researching for this book: I asked this question on Facebook, "What would be a good way to kill off an older person, something another older person could easily obtain?" I received over 50 suggestion.
• "...So in this Tempe adventure, there's a great closed setting atmosphere, great character/suspects, and other-worldly happenings! This Tempe adventure easily took me away, I even shivered a couple times, and for me, that's the mark of good writing." — M.M. Gornell
