Book: Seldom Traveled - Tempe Crabtree Mystery Series by Marilyn Meredith
categories: Book, Native American, Forest Fire, Indian Mysticism, Female Deputy, Fire Fighting, Mountain Community, Southern Sierrs, Murder MysteryMarilyn Meredith

Right after the book was published we actually had a bit fire in the mountains where I live--was an eerie experience.
Tempe Crabtree is a Native American, and every book in the series has a bit of Indian mysticism.
The title, Seldom Traveled, refers to hidden byways and trails.
My covers are designed by the artist of the publishing company and she does a great job.
The main research I did for the book was finding out what big fires were like and what comprises a fire camp. Fortunately, I have a good friend who has been a volunteer fire fighter for years, and still works for the forest service on various fire duties during the fire season, and he shared his knowledge with me.
I hope anyone who reads this book will try some of the others in the series.
