Tim Reesabout this book: WTF was born upon the question: a soldier is decorated with medals when he or she defends the country, but what happens when they defend their family and friends?
I wrote the first draft of this novel within six weeks, which is alarmingly quick for me. For me as a writer this novel was very much experimental and the feel and writing style is very different from my other novels. There is a lot of layers to the story and I think the reader will either love it or hate it. Sex is explicit, but, in my opinion anyway, not gratuitous as the intensity of the sex for James is integral to the main storyline. One character expresses strong opinions with regard religion and I make no excuses for him. Thus some readers are going to consider WTF controversial, but I hope that doesn't spoil their enjoyment of the genuine banter between two young men and women exploring answers to deeper issues.
But first and foremost, I write to entertain and I think you'll find WTF entertaining as well as provocative.
WTF is about a twenty-one year old SAS-type soldier experiencing his life being turned upside down after crashing from one drama into the next against a background of national news headlines...
One reviewer recommends ladies get their boyfriends to read the book.
