Susan Segovia-Munoz about this book: After decades of drug abuse and crime, I received a big, fat, healthy dose of reality smack dab in the face. At 42, I was granted an extended stay (no balcony or pool) at a Northern California Bed and Breakfast establishment for the seriously, non-compliant. During my lengthy stay, I wore non-Cartier no-love bracelets, and plenty of chains. I donned previously owned garments that were made of anything but, cashmere. I try to humor myself now to hinder the tears, because addiction is no joke and crime is no laughing matter. This is my story of kicking the habit of self-destruction. I wrote this book hoping to inspire others to overcome their obstacles, whatever they may be. With hard work and perseverance anything is possible. This is the sixth book of my memoir series, but in all honesty, it was the hardest one to write. It contains some of the most horrible and frightening moments of my life. It was very draining and emotional to put this to print and I hope you will understand that my sarcastic humor is only in, regard to myself and my personal mistakes.
