Book Review: Calculus and Pizza - A Cookbook for the Hungry Mind by Clifford A. Pickovercategories: Book, Educational, Calculus, History of Science, Math, Mathematics
Author: Clifford A. Pickover
Publisher: John Wiley & Sons
Excellent and Fun OverviewI have read this book and truly enjoyed it, done the problems, etc. Some of the reviews talk about the issue of "completeness" - which Pickover clearly states was not the real aim or intention of his book. Alas - I started looking over Calculus topics and curricula over the web, and was surprised to find that this book does seem to have excellent coverage. Nobody is suggesting that this be your only workbook - but other ones might become much, much easier to work with after going through this one...
