Book Review: They Called Me Margaret by Florence Osmundcategories: Book, Family Saga, Dysfunctional Family, Cozy Mystery Writer, Relationships, Book Store Owner, Literary Fiction
Florence Osmundabout this book: After a long career working for a large drug company, Margaret Manning retires to write cozy mysteries. Things go well until she thinks her husband may be mimicking the behavior of some of the shadier characters in her books. When he claims to have never read any of her books, she's even more daunted. Then when several pieces of her jewelry go missing, she wonders if he's responsible for it or if she's losing her mind.
Margaret's world becomes encumbered with health issues, hampering her dreams of opening a book store for indie authors, and complicating things further are the unsettling actions of friends and family. Just when things are about to crumble, she receives a surprise announcement from her husband and a more surprising visit from someone who has the potential of changing her life even more.
A promise for a happier life hangs over Margaret's head, but does she have the strength to reach out and grab it?
