Book Review: The Red Squeaky Nose by Barbara Seeleycategories: Books, Children's Books, life lessons
She Didn't Get A Dime For The Book!Barbara Seeley is my mother, she struggled my whole life to make ends meet, being in and out of shelters from all over Massachusetts to areas of California looking for any chance to be successful. A single parent as far back as I can remember, she would draw amazing pictures of Disney characters, write poems that could only come from a broken heart, and yet still strived to make it! Her book "The Red Squeaky Nose" was to be the first of a series that would teach young children life lessons.
Unfortunately she put all her trust into a publishing company that would end up sending her a check for 200 dollars in almost ten years of the books birth! Later rejecting a second book not long after the first, breaking a 3 book contract! We are a below the poverty line family... and just can't seem to breakout... I've seen how talented she is for the last 25 years, an unsuccessful talent waiting to be discovered!
