Tim Vicaryabout this book: Bold Counsel is the third legal thriller in the series 'The Trials of Sarah Newby.' In this book Sarah presents her first case in the Court of Criminal Appeals in London, dealing with wrongful conviction and police corruption. But although her career is going well, Sarah's marriage is collapsing. How will she cope with living as a single woman for the first time, now that her children have left home? Will her romance with detective Terry Bateson take off at last, or will some other man come into her life? And what is the significance of the bones which have been discovered beside the motorway, not far from her house?
I enjoyed writing this book, because it gave me space to explore new sides of Sarah's character, and see whether romance could enter her life at last. But there is plenty of suspense as well, with many dangerous twists and turns as a murder mystery is unravelled.
Sarah Burns of the Kindle Book Review wrote:
'This is another superb and accomplished British thriller by Tim Vicary.'
and Author JJ Collins very kindly said: "Bold Counsel easily sets the stage for many more legal thrillers in this series, and I have no doubt, Vicary will soon be recognised, as a serious rival to the works of Scott Turow and Michael Connelly."
