Book: The Ultimate California Auto Accident Handbook by Edward Smithcategories: Book, Reference, Personal Injury, Auto Accident, Car Accident, Attorney, Lawyer, Legal Advice
Edward Smithabout this book: I'm originally from New York City and after an early education in the school of hard knocks migrated to Sacramento via Southeast Asia thanks to the US Air Force in 1968. My parent's education stopped at the 3rd grade level and they were sued on a real estate sale gone wrong when I was very young. I remember their fear and anxiety when going through that period, and swore someday to do my best to help others dealing with corporations and insurers beat down those with less assets and expertise. This is what motivated me to make available to everyone an understanding of the personal injury claims process and why I wrote my book.
I want people to understand how their choices in insurance coverage can have a major impact on them in the case of a severe collision. Additionally, not having health insurance should not be a reason that prevents a person from getting better after an injury causing collision. I explain what options are available in this instance. Reading this book will also help one understand what responsibilities one has to their health insurance provider should they obtain a settlement from a car crash.
It is my hope that this book demystifies what insurance carriers, adjustors and attorneys do and provides them with the knowledge to know how to handle their claim and/or choose an appropriate attorney to handle their claim.
I'm one of the luckiest people alive as I go to work every day working with people I love, enjoying new clients I meet, and learn the intricacies of law, medicine and psychology. It is my pleasure to share this information with others.
