Verse one begins with:
Midnight to noon equals noon to midnight,
And that's how the hours go;
The short, fat hand turns to the right,
Counting the hours which move so sow.
Just as the minute hand completes a round
In every hour of the day,
For each minute the second hand is bound
To make the circle all the way.
And on to:
A.M. passes through All Morning,
Until at noon the hands both rest;
And P.M. naturally goes Past Morning,
Headed toward midnight so darkly dressed.
Midnight to Noon = Noon to Midnight is inviting and entertaining, but most of all it is educational--cleverly disguising work as play and thinking as fun.
