Maria Pantaloneabout this book: 'Success Talks: Conversations With Everyday Leaders' is a compilation of interviews with eighteen everyday leaders – nine men and nine women.
The book came about from discussions with my clients who were often aspiring leaders. They wanted practical examples and influences that they could apply to their everyday working situations. This inspired me to investigate this concept further. So I put a call out for inspiring everyday leaders and these eighteen people were brought to my attention.
The primary readers of the book are current leaders and aspiring leaders dealing with everyday situations but also wanting to make a difference because they see the big picture.
I had two titles for the book that I liked. I then asked my database and social media connections their thoughts on these two titles. The end result was that people voted on the one that they liked so 'Success Talks' came into being. The secondary title, 'Conversations with Everyday Leaders' came to me while I was conducting my interviews for the book.
The book is organized into short, easy-to-read chapters. A reader can begin anywhere in the book as each chapter is dedicated to an individual leader. Each leader has been asked the same questions so there is consistency across the interviews. Each interview provides insights into the leader's own experiences as well as advice on how aspiring leaders can make a positive difference to others and their own career.
