Margrit Lohrerabout this book: My husband and I started Morehouse Farm, a Merino sheep farm and yarn Company, thirty years ago. As designer (by profession) my job was to create new knitting patterns every season. One year I designed a scarf in the shape of a snake, complete with felt eyes and forked tongue. It was a big hit (and even got a write-up in New York Magazine). So my career as critter designer was born…and every year since a few more critter knits are born and join the Morehouse Menagerie.
2007 was the year of the Gator. I designed an Alligator Scarf, complete with bumps and ridges and big bulging eyes. And it was this Alligator Scarf that turned our farm enterprise on its head and brought us international fame with thousands of Gator-crazy knitting fans from all over the world discovering Morehouse Farm Critters.
And ever since, we've tried to accommodate an international knitting audience. And our publication of Volume 1 of Morehouse Critter Knits is another big step in bringing Morehouse Critters to our fans at an affordable price.
Just a few days after publication, our ebook hit the Amazon bestseller list in the category of knitting and fashion.
What an incredible chance it will be for knitters to snag our Critter Collection for FREE!
