Shayla D. Riceabout this book: The book is about the thing I went through as I was growing up trying to cope with family problems and everyday life things. I was inspired to write the book to share my story about the struggles that I went through until I gave my life to Christ. I felt that my story would be able to help others that are going through the same kind of struggles. And to let them know that they are not alone and that God is there to help them every step of the way. To let people know that they cannot cope with tough issues by their self and if they let God help them it would be a lot easier to cope in the world.
small insert of book: I felt though my life was over and that no one could really help me at this point. I began to smoke and drink even more, thinking my problems would go away and that everything would get better. But things got worse. I felt more stressed out and often felt worthless. I did not want to live anymore. I asked God why had been born and why he was allowing me to go through so much heartache and pain. I felt like I was still only a child and that the pressures of life were simply too much to handle.
