Book: Waiting for Rachel (Those Karlsson Boys) by Kimberly Rae Jordancategories: Book, Christian Fiction, Contemporary, Love, Sweet, Inspirational Romance
Kimberly Rae Jordanabout this book: I love to write characters who have real vulnerabilities, real struggles and make the reader feel their struggles and triumphs right along with them. In this story, Rachel is feeling lost and alone after the loss of her mother--the one person who knew her most closely guarded secret. Damian has been trying to get Rachel to go out with him for many months, but she's always held him at arm's length. He can't figure out why and is determined to wait her out. Rachel wishes she could say yes to Damian, but her past hangs heavily over her.
Fearful of rejection should she share her secret with him, Rachel decides it would just be easier to not allow things to get serious between them. Rather than trust him to still love her in spite of what she hides from him, she protects herself by pushing him away. Will she ever trust Damian enough to share her secret? And will Damian love her enough to let go of his own dream in order to be with her?
