Bob Mitchley

Author Bob Mitchleyabout this book: Breaking Through was my first book. It was a self publishing adventure for me, which helped me learn about the publishing industry through a vanity press. It is a compilation of inspirational poetry, also featuring family pictures along with my prized poem, "My Lane," written about my mom, who I never knew. Some of the poetry is fictional, some non. I have a varied assortment, a little something for everybody. I have, as most writers, poured my heart and soul into these verses.

The title of the book comes from the opening poem, The Break Through. The cover was produced in my work shop from experimenting with pictures, felt paper, water, and broken glass. The hardest part about the whole book process, at least for this book, was the editing, which I had to do on my own. The consensus among people who have read Breaking Through, feel it is comparable to the poetry of Robert Frost. I would like readers to experience for themselves the thrilling, yet unpredictable endings to these poems.
