about this book: The Perfect Host is an intriguing novel that follows the main character Damien Driscoll on his journey to find the truth. Moved by a strong fascination in the afterlife after being confronted by an apparition of his dead mother, Damien Driscoll leapt at a chance to be a part of a research project revolving around near death experiences. Through the research project Driscoll becomes part of a paranormal mystery that involves much more than the medical mystery he originally set out to solve.

The intention of the book is to question our beliefs.Until recently with the onset of more sophisticated medical advances, a new phenomena has materialized. The near-death experience proactively suggests that perhaps something does occur after death.

Initially this subject matter influenced me to think about writing on this particular subject. I thought about a novel which would put a doctor into a position whereby all rational thought was thrown out of the window and replaced by a fear of the unknown.
