Book: The Hobo by Dick Murphy-Scottcategories: Book, Gay, Adult, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, South America, Homeless
Dick Murphy-Scottabout this book: I am a guy with some time on my hands and not many options. I just want to have a voice, get some ideas out, through fiction. I think guys will like my stuff more than women. Women don't like to thin that bad things happen in life, but they do.
I have no idea when I started to write, or why. I have another book almost finished and I started another one. I decided to write about all the many chances I have had in the Hobo, then I chose to write about the violence we face, and finally I am writing about what is working to help the homeless. I chose to call the book the Hobo because some wise ass kids called me that and threw something at me. I think that writing has made me a better writer and kept me from getting worse. This is therapy for me, I hope that people start to understand the undercurrents of society. After reading this book I hope that people give a few more bucks to the people on the street asking for a buck or two.
