A Wicked Deception is a fictionalised acount of what happened to one family. I have researched the subject and actually walked over the old goldfields.
The Eureka Stockade rebellion, was fought between the miners, the English redcoats and the police. The miners were fighting for justice from the authorities, but the short and bloody battle changed the lives of many including my heroine and her family.
With a price on her head, Melanie O'Dea escapes rebellion on the Australian goldfields, only to find betrayal and danger on the Yorkshire moors.
Danger, seduction and betrayal in 1850's Australia
Melanie O'Dea is caught up in the maelstrom of the Eureka Stockade rebellion. On the run from the authorities, she accepts help from a friend, The Honorable Michael Guilford. Michael seduces her, callously discards her, and leaves Melanie to fend for herself. Will she be strong enough to survive such treachery?
