Book Review: Untamed Heart (BookStrand Publishing Romance) by Catherine Sharpcategories: Book, Western, Western Historical Romance, Heroic Western Romance, Romantic Western, Historical Romance
Catherine Sharpabout this book: I read romances voraciously, but at the time I wrote this book I was not finding exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to try to write what I wanted desperately to read. So, UNTAMED HEART was born. Of course I wrote what was and is my favorite genre, historical romance, and this book is set in the Dakotas after the Civil War. It follows the love story between a cynical loner, Shane Cordell and an independent beauty, Ashley Clayton. He's cut from the wild country itself and she loves him completely, but doesn't want to tame him even if she could.
The book simply named itself as Shane's heart is definitely untamed and he fears he will have to spend his life alone as he has demons from his past lurking there.
I chose to include the Cheyenne culture and language for two reasons. I am fascinated by Native Americans and I wanted to add layers to the story and characters. I learned so much while spending hours and hours on research into not only their culture and language but an especially brutal massacre on the Cheyenne people by the Union Military.
To all the readers that gave me a chance and chose to buy UNTAMED HEART, I want to give you my heartfelt thanks. This book is a part of me because of all the hours I put into it and how much I loved every second of it ... thank you so much.

Hits the Spot
a comment by Catherine SharpUNTAMED HEART hits the spot when you want romance. It tames your craving for a great read on a warm summer night or a cold winter's eve. Either way, you've got to give it a try. The sex is hot but it's got a story to go along with the steamy side. You think you've got it figured out when it takes you down another trail and you can't put it down again. It's hot, spicy, and worth your time.
