Book Review: The Briton and the Dane by Mary Ann Bernal
categories: Book, Drama, Literature, Historical Romance, Action, Adventure, Historical, Suspense, Vikings, Genre Fiction, Saxons, Historical FictionMary Ann Bernal

Originally, my first novel was to be about Gwyneth and Erik, but the storyline quickly evolved to include numerous characters and subplots. It became apparent that more than one book would be needed to complete the narrative and the trilogy was born.
The audio book of The Briton and the Dane is available on Audible and iTunes.

The Briton and the Dane is the first book in the series which takes place in the ninth century. This book caught my attention right away. It was easy to get swept into the drama and intrigue. I was shocked to read about all the deception and deceit though I loved every bit of it. I was totally swept away. I loved the seductive parts of the story as well.I enjoyed Mary Ann Bernal's clear, crisp writing style. She has a way with words and telling a gripping story. The characters are realistic and the storyline felt like a moving picture. I could see this on the big screen. Great book!
