Angela Rigley
about this book: In this third book in the Jamie series, as the title suggests, he goes away to boarding school. Having been excited at the idea, it is not how he had envisaged it, though, and he hates it, being bullied from the start, and is forced out of a window, from which... of course, he falls. He does, however, excel when given a part in the school performance of Twelfth Night.
I hope you enjoy reading about more of Jamie's escapades, especially when the family go on holiday to Scarborough. As you've guessed, that ends in disaster, as usual. Tillie has another baby, a boy, called Daniel, and her sister, Ruby has a baby girl, Eleanor. My publishers gave me the contract before I had even written it, based on the popularity of the first two. It took me about 8 months to write, and I had to research school life in the Victorian era, and how he would have dressed at school, and how they would have been attired on the beach.
what to read next: if you read and liked this book...
