Book Review: Night of the Gypsies by Elizabeth Kalescategories: Book, Huguenot, Family Saga, Historical Fiction
Intriguing Literary FindPersonally, I rarely read historical fiction, but what a delight when first introduced to "The Sikweaver's Daughter", the first of the Huguenot saga of the Garneau family. What a page turner!
I was happily surprised at the fine historical detail that surrounded the characters. And to learn of the release of "The Knight of the Gypsies", I did not hesitate to purchase it and so glad I did. The survival of the times and unforeseen circumstances will keep the the reader rivited, wanting more. The story left me to self-examine my strength in belief, faith and love of family. A must read.
