The differences between students who ace it through school and those who don't are clear-cut. And once any student learns and practices the key habits of highly effective student, one will unequivocally achieve the desired results. And that's what this book aims to achieve - to elaborate the habits of high achieving students and demonstrate that anyone that attain the same outcome. This book is meant for students (current and prospective students in college/university) who want learn success tips to help them achieve their goals faster; those who want to maximize their time at college/university.

Be A High Achiever is a student guide, covering instructions and motivations on virtually every key major decision topic of students; starting from key questions to ask before enrolling in college/university, factors to consider when selecting a program, school, and courses (the order is important and the book explains why), how to set effective SMART goals and apply discipline, effective study and exam tips, to writing an eye-catching resume and cover letter and preparing for life after graduation, and list goes on.

The idea to write this book hit me just a few months after my graduation from University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Life at the university wasn't always a bed of roses to me. I had challenges and tough times, but I was able to steel myself and tackle them head on, applying disciple and diligence so I could achieve my objective. I received scholarships for each year that I spent in full-time study at the university and won couple of awards and recognitions - from the university and external organizations (one being the Golden Key International Honor Society) . I also spent a significant period of time mentoring other students, helping them achieve their goals. I enjoyed a couple other blessings. And so after my graduation, in order to follow my passion for helping people, I sought a way to share my success tips with students and figured out that a book was a superb way to do that. That was how the book project was birthed.

Consequently, before diving deep into the project, I surveyed a number of current students from different colleges and universities to get a sense of their pain points, struggles, fear and desires, as well as what they'd love covered in a book about student success . The data I retrieved from the survey directed the layout and content of the book.

It took me about one and half years to research and complete the entire book. Apart from my research (mostly books, studies and online articles), I had to interview a number of high achieving students as well as faculty members at colleges/universities to obtain advice and strategies for my readers.

I also went on another quest for the book title and cover, and ensured to involve members of my target audience in the decision-making process because the book is meant for them so they have to love every part of it. I ran social media campaigns and did some direct messaging to determine what kind of book cover and title appealed the most to my audience.

The most enjoyable part of the book project was being able to obtain appropriate responses to address the concerns, fears and needs of my target audience. On the other hand, one of the hardest things in writing the book was learning how to write a spectacular book. That's because although I am the author of the book, I'm not the one who dictate what should be contained in it or what it should look like; that's for my readers to choose because the book was written by me, but for them. And that's one of the most powerful things I learnt in the course of the book project.

And to my readers, I want to assure you that you can achieve whatever you desire at school and in life generally. The college/university phase of life is a prime period to develop success habits that'll serve you for life. And I'm privileged sharing couple of those habits in this book which I'm confident will immensely benefit you.
