Beau Garcon De La Nuitabout this book: Charles and Edward has been years in the making. I started writing this novel around four years ago and have been writing non stop for almost that entire time! Once I thought I had finished writing I would go over the book and always find things that I was not happy with or things that I felt needed to be said that we're not said. It's been a never ending process of discovering new insights into Charles and Edward and learning more about who they are as people. It is like the characters come alive as I am writing and they want to say what's on their minds. I really feel that once you start out writing a book, the characters do develop a life of their own and things you never expected them to do or say ends up coming through.
I am very proud of Charles and Edward as it feels like my personal baby delivered into the world for your reading pleasure. I have put so much of my self into this book that it is a part of me and it's very hard to let go and release it into the wider world for public consumption.
People have said to me why is there a woman and a man on the cover and the reason for this so, I choose the cover as it gives a good portrayal of what Charles and Edward is all about. It is genuinely a modern day version of pretty woman with a fresh perspective on the whole idea of what romance means, how anyone can have that fairy tell ending we all dream about no matter where you start out in life.
I was inspired in the writing of this book from my own life experiences and from careful observation of friends and people who I have come across in my day to day life. I genuinely believe that everyone has a story to tell, it's just that the vast majority of people never actually take the time to sit down and start writing. So I would say to you all out there, don't delay pick up that pen and get started writing today! Who knows, the novel that you produce could be the next big thing that comes along and changes everything.
I have been in talks with a few high profile magazines in regards to a serialisation of Charles and Edward in 2914, so watch this space. It's great news as this would really help to open up a much wider market for Charles and Edward and it can spread to the far corners of the world.
