Author Susan Mac Nicolabout this book: Stripped Bare is a story of chance meetings, fears, loss, passion and love. When Matthew Templar's friend, David Debussy, is beaten in an attack, Matthew is called down to the hospital by David's authoritarian father, Walter, to mitigate any bad publicity. Matthew is the family lawyer and Walter needs him to perform damage control. But when Matthew gets there, he doesn't like what he finds. He suspects his employer and his aide, Roy Parsons, of having a hand in David's beating. David is gay - as is Matthew - and Walter isn't particularly fond of that fact.

And when Matthew meets the tempestuous, dirty mouthed Shane Templar at the hospital, there is a definite spark between the two men. Shane is an escort and was only that evening squiring David to a Black Tie affair. He finds out David is in the hospital and comes down to find out what happened.

Of course, things go from bad to worse, and soon Matthew finds himself out of a job and in the thrall of the blue eyed, sexy and irrepressible man that is Shane. He also discovers Shane is a hacker, a legend in this world and not averse to a little illegal activity.

They begin a relationship that is fraught with passion, heated encounters and a mutual respect for each other's talents in their chosen professions. But Matthew, with his tendency to want control in his life and keep the emotions away, is wary of Shane's actions, as he sails a little too close to the wind sometimes.

And when one particular incident spirals out of control and leads to the men breaking off their relationship, it takes yet another tragic act and a realisation that love does indeed conquer all, to bring the two men back together and accept their differences.
