Book: When Pigs Fly by Bob Sanchezcategories: Book, Crime, Humor, Road Trip, Arizona, Funny Crime Fiction
Bob Sanchezabout this book: When Pigs Fly is a raucous romp with a motley crew of crooks on the trail of a winning lottery ticket. The bad guys, who are dim bulbs, follow the trail from Massachusetts to Arizona, chasing the retired cop who doesn't know he even has the ticket. There isn't a serious page in the book, and it gets laughs from most readers. Some of the bad guys use profane language, but hey, they're bad guys. I had thought my typical audience would be men, but a lot of women have read the book and said they love it. My favorite comment came via email from a woman who said her mom had died recently, so she read When Pigs Fly aloud to her father to console him and give him a good laugh.
I give my personal guarantee that reading When Pigs Fly will not make you smarter, wiser, more successful, or a better person. But based on reader reactions so far, there's about a ninety percent chance it will at the very least make you chuckle.
When Pigs Fly recently finished #1 out of over 750 entrants in a Goodreads poll of "Best Indie to Read in 2012."
