Book: Fifty Egg Timer Short Stories by Richard Bunningcategories: Book, Short Stories, Mixed Genre, 3 Minute Stories, Travel Companion, Flash Fiction
Richard Bunningabout this book: This book of 600 to 1000 thousand word flash fiction stories is a collection of only one author's works- but a writer that likes to play in and between many genres.
One thing I must make clear- this omelette has nothing to do with cooking eggs, or anything else for that matter.
Two and a half to three minutes is all it takes for even a slow reader to absorb any of these stories. This is the time it takes to soft boil a chicken egg in already boiling water.
My first story, by way of introduction, builds a whole book classification on boiling eggs- so I started in a humorous vain, after which genres from romance to speculative fiction, to historical fiction to mystical realism are explored.
No one, except me of course, will connect with all the stories, but I will be very disappointed if you, dear reader, don't connect with any.
This is a great book for those dull minutes when you are waiting for something else to happen, like the bus to come, the chauffeur to collect your car, or possibly even for an egg to boil. AND- the e version costs less than a six-pack of eggs- well, in most territories anyway- and okay- not if you keep chickens!
