Book Reviews: The Orchid Keeper by Jennifer Deesecategories: Book, Inspirational, Fighting an Adversary, Strong Message, Otherworldly Assistance, Soul, Series, Fantasy
Jennifer Deeseabout this book: The Orchid Keeper is book one in my serial series, The Osipian Stories. I relate to the main character in many ways and my previous life was one if my inspirations for The Orchid Keeper.
The characters in the book become real, relateable, and left me yearning to finish this five part series.
A quick read with a strong message. Though this book is fantasy it us still a realistic circumstance. Fighting for one's soul against an adversary, be it mental or physical, is a situation if life that many people have either found themselves in or know of someone who has been there. Though not intended to be a self help read there are qualities of the book that naturally lend themselves to being inspirational.
Cora faces an intense challenge while learning in a most fantastic way how intricately connected things can be. With a surprise trip to a breathtaking world of nuance and beauty she will have the opportunity to save her soul. Will Cora be able to face down her demons and embrace accountability to save the orchid and her dying soul?

Intriguing PlotThis was a great read. The concept was so intriguing! I read through it quickly because I couldn't put it down and I can't wait for the second book. [by Sammie]
Intriguing, comforting fantasy--wonderful concept and lead-in to later booksThe ideas and the world that went into creating The Orchid Keeper are great. I loved the comfort that comes to the main character in her time of need. The combination of nature, human emotions and deeds, and fantasy is really beautiful. I'm curious to see how Cora faces the challenges that will doubtless arise in the next books. Jennifer Deese has a TON of creativity--keep an eye out for what comes next! [by Emily L.]
Fantasy with a messageWith a dying soul Cora visits Osipia with an opportunity to save herself. Great concept in fantasy writing. The author Jennifer Deese has created a world in which miracles can happen. Chapter 1 preview for book two has me anxiously waiting for its arrival. [by Missy]
