Her teacher and her memories of her mother's stories keep Kahli sane throughout her long hard recovery. Kahli will also form a strange trio of friends who will lead her to some shocking answers about the reality of her mother's fantasy!
This short story gives a first peek into the world of fantasy that is to come with the following short stories and novel. It is approximately 12,000 words and due to some romantic content is not recommended for readers under 12.
