Author Robert P. Willsabout this book: After carving some wooden wands as party favors for my daughter's Harry Potter themed 15th birthday party, a friend said "Those are nice- you should sell those online". Doing a little research, I saw that the wand sellers online were pretty impersonal. I thought buying a wand should be part of the experience of owning a wand, so I came up with two cantankerous wand sellers- Grimbledung and Drimblerod. These two Gnomes are the proprietors of Second Hand Sorcery. If you're in the market for a potentially unstable used wand of dubious origin- theirs is the shoppe for you!

After writing over fifty back-story certificates for my wands as they sold, my daughter suggested I compile the stories together into an 'All Creatures Great and Small' style book. Soon after her suggestion, I was deployed to Afghanistan. Since there wasn't much to do in the evenings, I began to write the story of Grimbledung and Drimblerod - on paper. Within two months of returning from Afghanistan, I deployed again in support of Operation Unified Protector. Realizing that I would eventually want my story digitized, I bought my (now ) trusty Acer Netbook and put the finishing touches on the story during the five months I was dealing with that NATO operation. This madcap adventure story was written in not one, but two major theaters of operation!

Follow along as Drimblerod and Grimbledung combine their inventories and try to corner the used wand market. A stream of Human, troll, elf and even half-orc customers help keep the story moving along. The invading Army of the Great Halfling Empire helps too. Oh- and a grumpy werewolf constable.

Taking into account several deaths, Gnomes who seem to go out of their way to consume copious amount of alcohol, and the advances of a certain jousting dummy on a certain Tavern-Owning Trolless, I think this 98,000 word (illustrated) story is suitable for readers 13 and up.
