Paul Vander Loosabout this book: What began as a short story exercise developed into a project encompassing three novels -- the first here being THE WIZARD'S SWORD. I wanted to diverge from the typical Tolkien clone of elves and dwarves, and try to provide the unique point of view of a character from a race of furry people calling themselves erfins. They are a proud race but they have long given up their warrior ways to become settled in a small valley below the Mountain at the End of the Earth. When my main character, Mirrortac, finds an old warrior's sword in the woods near his home, followed by a meeting with an otherworldly being at the temple, he suddenly finds himself committed to a mission of such utmost importance, that the livelihoods of his people and many he had not yet met, lie in the balance. He begins a journey that traverses lands he had never imagined existed, as he seeks out the source of the evil that has beset all these worlds.
