Gail Pallottaabout this book: In Mountain of Love and Danger readers enjoy a fantasy retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk. Jack's girlfriend has been kidnapped and taken to a mountain accessible only by helicopter. He must figure out how to scale the mountain, get her away from the huge man holding her hostage and bring her to safety. I wrote the novella as book five in the Fairwilde Fairy Tale Series authored by myself and four other romance writers. I chose Jack and the Beanstalk because I thought the story would lend itself to mystery, adventure and suspense as well as romance. Of course, there's a magnificent beanstalk to help Jack up the steep grade. However, I spent lots of time researching mountain climbing. A friend who is a mountain and rock climber helped me make it an exciting trip to the top.
Readers claim Mountain of Love and Danger is refreshing, delightful and fun—filled with emotion, written with ingenuity and compassion. Others say it contains suspense, romance, danger and adventure. Some like that it emphasizes faith, forgiveness, the high standards of friendship and loyalty
