Marcel Andre Acostaabout this book: Even from the shadows, Justicia Adamante has long been at the front lines of conflict. No matter where magical trouble occurs in Empyrea, their Divine Avenger, Avalon has risen to the challenge, and emerged victorious. He has brought order to Empyrea, and safeguarded the Human World, Midgard, from magical threats, though at the cost of their once-steadfast alliance.
But now, an ancient enemy, long thought dead, has returned, claiming to seek justice. By leaving several terrorist acts in his wake, he delivers Avalon and his companions a deadly message, one they cannot ignore. Knowing their enemy has been based within the Human world, Avalon will be forced to restore both their worlds' relations if they intend to stop this mutual threat. But this enemy is more than just a simple warrior. And Avalon's skills, weapons, and powers may not be enough…
Certain characters in this book were inspired by events I considered anti-soldier, such as the Westboro Baptist Church's funeral picketing being 'freedom of speech,' soldiers' benefits getting cut at the time, among other things. But on a personal note, I just saw a lot of people in my country mocking soldiers, and it infuriated me.
