Book: The Golden Helm - More Tales from the Edge of Sleep by Victoria Randallcategories: Book, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Time Travel, Unicorn, Dragon, Aliens, Fantasy and SciFi
Victoria Randallabout this book: This book includes twelve tales of fantasy and SciFi, ranging from the story of a rodent-like alien looking for military information to facilitate his invasion, to a girl's vision of a unicorn appearing in her back yard, to an homage to Lovecraft's macabre tales. Some of the tales deal with subjects not usually covered in fantasy stories, which has taken some reviewers by surprise, but they seem to appreciate it.
The tales are short excursions into other worlds or mystical experiences in this world, allowing the readers to take another look at reality. I wrote them primarily to be enjoyable.
Jack Magnus, for Readers' Favorite, writes: "the collection is a well-written and engaging set of stories featuring compelling characters who find themselves in most unusual situations . . . her abilities to enthrall and challenge the imagination are well represented . . . most highly recommended."
Charles Remington, for Readers' Favorite, writes Victoria is "an accomplished author who has produced a volume of carefully structured, well-written, thought-provoking stories, tales with more depth than would appear at first glance . . . I do not hesitate to recommend it."
