Tess Mackenizeabout this book: Beth, a college maths professor, has a casual sexual encounter with a stranger at a party, and he turns out to be one of her students.
And then she does it again.
One Plus Two Minus One is a novel about the complications that arise when work lives and private lives intersect. It's about breaking rules you think don't matter, and about getting lost in your work and forgetting how important human contact is, and about desires and consequences, and avoiding choices, and of foolishly hoping things will work out for the best when they hardly ever do. Most of all it's about how telling yourself that no-one is getting hurt isn't nearly the same thing as no-one actually being hurt.
This is an erotic book, but it is not entirely a happy book. It is definitely not a romance, at all. It's a realistic, sensual novel about life's complications, following a person who is almost always behaving selfishly, and doesn't realize it herself.
Not until the time comes when her selfishness really matters, anyway.
And again, just to say this and make it completely clear, everything I write is available free too. This novel, along with everything else. I'm just saying this so no-one is upset when they realize later on. If you would like to buy it, I would really appreciate it, and that would be fantastic. But on the other hand, if you'd rather try reading a little first, or would rather not pay at all for whatever reason, then please come to my website or Wattpad and read there.
And thank you for looking at this!
