Book: The Winner (Romantek Book 1) by Patricia Greencategories: Book, Time Travel, Science Fiction, Nebraska, Spanking, Erotic Romance
Patricia Greenabout this book: The Winner is a story about the winner of a slogan writing contest. Her prize is a fabulous dream vacation (literally a dream) as part of the Romantek adventure package. At first, she's thrilled, but then, as she thinks about it, it's a little intimidating. She's never done anything quite so adventurous before. Still, she really wants to step out of her box, so she picks a vacation package that isn't too scary and goes for it.
As part of her dream, she's transported back to the 1850s in Nebraska. It's a bit ironic for her to be there, because even in the future, she's from a small town in Nebraska and has hardly been away from there in her life.
While experiencing her dream vacation, she meets a Native American. Back in 1850, being a Native American in a white town was risky. White Star -- as he's known in the dream -- experiences prejudice that Audrey (our winner) finds appalling. But, despite distractions of all kinds, Audrey falls in love with White Star. She thinks he's just a figment of her imagination, a dream construct put in place by the Romantek computers, and she's saddened that she has never been able to meet a man like White Star in her real life.
Since Audrey knows she is "only dreaming," she takes on some risks, risks that White Star doesn't approve of, and even though their relationship turns romantic and erotic, it's also one of domestic discipline, where Audrey earns the occasional spanking.
It all looks good, but the clock is ticking and Audrey's dream will come to an end. How dismal is it going to be to return to her small town, dull life when the dream is over? And how can she ever meet someone as perfect as White Star?
This is a M/F, science fiction, erotic spanking romance.
